Harbor Freight Grinder After reading the post about the Harbor Freight tool grinder, I had to go there and pick one up myself. The unit was on sale for $129, and I could not find a 20% off coupon that was in our local paper; however, the clerk told me that I had 30 days to bring in my receipt and the coupon to get the additional discount.

May 29, 2013· i have used tool post grinders and an adapter to hold a die grinder.. basically i used to put a mirror type finish on internal pump mixer parts using Cratex rubberized abrasive stones. these stones can do a nice job. normally i only took 0.0005" at a time as i was improving surface finish and not wanting to take a lot of material off.

Oct 26, 2015· The only problem was that I didn't want to spend $700 on a Dumore tool post grinder. However, I had already bought a die grinder at Harbor Freight a few years back that could handle mounted tip grinding stones with a shank of 1/4". Now, all I had to figure out is how to make a holder for my die grinder so I could mount it to my compound slide.
Otherwise I'd call this grinder a bargain even if you have to buy a wheel or two and have the stator dipped and baked. I give it a "buy" reccommendation provided you understand stuff has to be done before you put it in daily use in your shop. The Baldor tool grinder it was copyed from cost $600+ and it comes with no wheels, last I heard.

There are 20% off coupons all over the net and in newspappers and mag. Probly won't see it at $129 again for a long time. Thay seam to be upgrading the quality of there tools latley and the priceses reflect it.
